The Greatest Love of All!
God is love. He made Man as the crown of His creation; to have dominion and rule on earth even as He is God in heaven. Unfortunately, man lost his dominion as a result of disobediece and came under the bondage of sin and death. He requires freedom from this burden and it is only a sinless blood that is required as sacrifice before the punishment of sin can be removed.
God sent His begotten Son, Jesus Christ who lived historically as man on earth, tempted in every way, yet without sin. He was arrested, tortured, crusified and put to death. He was buried and rose to life on the third day. He was seen by many for about 40 days before He ascended to heaven. He is coming back again to gather those who believe in Him to reign together with Him while those who reject Him will have their place in hell; which is a place of torment.
It is by faith in Christ Jesus that saves us from eternal punishment.
THE REDEEMED CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF GOD (RCCG)
The Maranatha Church Doncaster is part of a worldwide network of churches known as the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The history of RCCG began in Ebute-Metta area of Lagos, Nigeria in 1952 through divine revelation to late General Superintendent, Pa Josiah Akindayomi. Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye took mantle of leadership and became General Overseer in 1981. Under his leadership, the church grew from a modest 1000 parishes in Nigeria to become one of the leading Pentecostal churches in the world today with presence in over 190 countries and territories around the globe.
The RCCG is very active in the United Kingdom with about 700 parishes. Our activities are coordinated by the RCCG UK Central Office.
Our Involvement
In Maranatha Church Doncaster, we are earnestly expecting the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and seek to make ourselves ready for Him.
Our Pastor
'Niyi Olusola has the privilege to pastor Maranatha Church Doncaster. Right from childhood, he has been an astute lover of God till he gave his life to Christ at Easter of 1987. He has held various leadership positions with different organisations within the body of Christ in Nigeria. Among them are the CAC Campus Fellowship, Federal University of Technology Akure, Kaura-Namoda Zone of the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship, Sokoto (Now Zamfara) State, Ifako Gbagada of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, and RCCG Maranatha Chapel (now Maranatha Church) Gbagada Lagos where he began as member in 1997 and rose to become the Parish Pastor in 2008. He held this position till he relocated to the UK as a student/missionary in 2010.
In the United Kingdom, he has been a blessing to the RCCG UK family with the Overcomers Assembly, Deptford London and Kingdom Life Assembly, Doncaster. In line with the vision/mission of the RCCG, he became the pioneer pastor of Maranatha Church Doncaster which began in October 2015. ‘Niyi holds Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Akure, Nigeria) and Theology and Biblical Studies (Middlesex UK). He is a pastor/teacher by calling and also a trained counsellor. He is married to his heartthrob, Olabimpe and they are blessed with three wonderful children.
